Goji, the yellow dino. Urban art

"The Yellow Dino is an imaginary wonderland of Yudi Andhika or also known as Upnix, Indonesian base visual artist who drown into contemporary character design and street art. The name Yellow Dino is based on Yudi’s alter ego character, Goji the dino, a small yellow dinosaur who dont want to grow up and addicted to hit empty spaces with cute shape and fun atmosphere to at least bring happy and smile on people’s face.

Yudi started his career as a graphic designer in 2003 and was part of a collective of like minded and idealistic young indonesian designers, Ranger Bastards since 2004. The group disbanded early in 2007 and 4 of the original member including Yudi formed a new group called Mode Four. Yudi spread his own character since 2005 and loves to work in various media, a lot of project has been conducted, started from graphic and character design, illustration, graffiti, body painting to customized artworks. He hope with what his doing right now, one day he can turn the mass’s point of view that street art is not always about vandalism, and appreciate it as an art. Yudi’s agenda includes making his own dino empire and spread the yellow dino all over the world."

Macabre?

Sun in a jar

Glass jar, solar cell, battery and LED lights.

Made with a traditional Mason jar and high tech energy efficient lighting! Captured inside the jar are a highly efficient solar cell, rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamps. When the jar is placed in sunlight the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar.

The light is diffused by the frosted jar and give the appearance of sunlight emitting from the (warm coloured LED lights are used to give a more natural and warm light). You may have noticed that there is no switch on the sun jar - in fact there are no visible controls at all - there is a clever light sensor inside that automatically activates the lights when it gets dark or lights are turned out!* Mason Jars are not only beautiful but by their very nature they are completely water tight - so the Sun Jar can happily be left outside in any weather conditions. A perfect garden light or night light for a kids bedroom. *there is an override switch inside the lid to turn off the light at night and conserve battery life.
Sun Jars need DIRECT sunshine to work!
Leave the Sun Jar outside or in a sunny window
in DIRECT sunlight for several hours to charge,
(electric light indoors is not bright enough!).

Bad weather is bad news for Sun Jars!
You may find that in winter or cloudy weather your Sun Jar illuminates for less time than normal, or even not at all. This is because your Sun Jar require SUN to re-charge!
For improved results, leave the Sun Jar switched off (switch up) whilst charging. Simply switch it to the on position (switch down) when you would like it to glow. This conserves battery life and will leave it to illuminate when you need it to. If the weather has been particularly bad, as a last resort you can also charge the batteries in a normal battery charger!

Salt & pepper bots

Passing the salt will never be the same. We all knew it was inevitable.
Passing the salt by hand just isn’t efficient enough in a world of bullet trains
and pizza delivery and broadband.

Luckily the condiments have come to life! They will waddle wherever you tell them to,
so the next time someone wants the pepper, wind up the key, and pepper they shall
have! Mercilessly marching towards them like the terminator, more of a threat to dull
tastes than the human race.
